The Design Director will own the gameplay vision for the project, overseeing the overall playability, feel, and evolution of the game. Collaborating closely with the Creative Director, the Design Director transforms creative vision into coherent systems, mechanics, and player experiences that are engaging and rich. This position leads the entire design team across various facets, including gameplay, content, economy, combat, user experience, and progression. The Design Director establishes the standard for design quality, structure, and communication, while actively participating in feature prioritization, pacing, and mechanical harmony. This role is critical in ensuring the game offers a comprehensive and fulfilling experience that meets the expectations of players and publishing partners alike.
