Its aim is to consolidate the expertise of the Nantes-Saint-Nazaire metropolis in civil engineering, material mechanics, and processes, as well as modeling and simulation in structural mechanics.Job Description:We are seeking a highly motivated individual for a 12-month fixed-term contract to develop rapid simulation methods for the hybrid WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) process based on monitoring data. This work will be part of the collaborative MT-ROBOTICS project, funded by Bpifrance through the 'France 2030' plan, aimed at developing a hybrid manufacturing machine and its complete digital chain.Your main responsibilities will include:Conducting literature reviews, monitoring, and analyzing the state of the art.Developing rapid modeling and simulation methods for DED (WAAM) additive manufacturing processes and hybrid manufacturing (WAAM and machining) based on experimental data, such as through model reduction approaches or machine learning techniques.Implementing these methods through software development to create a rapid numerical simulation tool for additive and hybrid manufacturing processes.Calibrating and validating the simulation tool based on experimental data.Applying the simulation tool to case studies and demonstrators in the project.Utilizing the simulation tool on the laboratory supercomputer.Contributing to the integration of the simulation tool within the CAD/CAM environment of the project.Analyzing, interpreting, and presenting results through report writing.
