Role overview
The Professional Surveyor & Mapper leads survey projects from start to finish, balancing technical delivery with client communication. This position also supports staff development and helps promote the firm’s surveying services.
What you will do
- Oversee survey projects, ensuring quality results and on-time completion
- Prepare boundary, ALTA, design, and construction staking surveys
- Communicate directly with clients to understand project needs
- Mentor staff and support their professional growth
- Assist with marketing efforts for surveying services
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in surveying and mapping
- Background supervising field crews and office technicians
- Experience preparing boundary surveys, ALTA surveys, design surveys, construction staking, platting, and title commitments
- Strong project management skills, including scheduling and client communication
- Ability to work well with a team; field experience and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are a plus
- Adaptable to a variety of project types
- Valid Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper license or eligibility to obtain one
- Valid Florida driver’s license with an excellent driving record
