Role Overview: Senior Full Stack Engineer - IoT The Senior Full Stack Engineer, IoT, will design, develop, and oversee the technology stack for Fairstead’s proprietary IoT platform. This position covers the full stack: device firmware, network configuration, message brokering, data normalization, storage, analytics, and user-facing applications. The engineer will serve as the technical lead, architecting a modern, open-standards-based infrastructure that Fairstead will own and operate. The work will start with a live pilot and expand to cover more than 27,000 apartments in 28 states. Beyond IoT projects, this role will help shape Fairstead’s broader digital strategy to ensure technology supports the mission of sustainable, affordable housing. Key Responsibilities Design and develop the end-to-end technology stack for Fairstead’s IoT platform. Oversee all layers, including device firmware, network setup, message brokering, data normalization, storage, analytics, and user interfaces.
