In this role, you will engage with various components of our technology stack—from developing responsive, user-friendly interfaces to architecting robust backend systems—while significantly influencing the overall user experience of our platform.This pivotal position involves close collaboration with Metal’s founders, the go-to-market (GTM) team, and fellow engineers, as you contribute production code across both frontend and backend domains, participate in intelligent agent development, and help define the foundational architecture of our system.Key ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of critical product components spanning both backend and frontend systems.Design and implement scalable backend services using Go, MongoDB, and Vespa.Create clean, maintainable UI components with React (Next.js) and Tailwind CSS.Collaborate with design and product teams to quickly prototype new AI-driven workflows.Develop and integrate LLM-powered agents into investor workflows.Work across the stack (frontend, API, infrastructure) to provide seamless, intelligent experiences.Contribute to architectural decisions and foster a robust engineering culture as an early team member.Enhance performance, reliability, and usability across the platform.Ideal Candidate Profile5+ years of experience as a software engineer working on production-level systems.Strong backend development expertise, preferably with Go and MongoDB.Proficient in frontend frameworks such as React and Next.js.Experience in building and scaling cloud-native applications.
