As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sales of our comprehensive translation and language services. This position offers the opportunity to work with a global leader in the industry, collaborating with top-tier companies across various sectors.
Location:
Field-based role covering the UK, with a base at our head office near Newcastle.
Salary & Benefits:
Competitive base salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 plus commission (OTE approximately £80,000+) and a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new clients across diverse sectors including legal, automotive, finance, technology, and pharmaceuticals through various channels such as referrals, cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Generating and closing translation and interpreting opportunities within key sectors and target companies.
- Managing the sales pipeline, including revenue forecasting and reporting.
- Recording customer interactions and managing prospect pipelines effectively.
- Building and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Leveraging market insights and competitor knowledge to showcase the company’s unique selling points.
- Formulating and executing sales plans to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Consulting with clients to set and manage expectations effectively.
Candidate Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Fluency in English is essential.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in selling translation, interpreting, and localization services.
- Strong negotiation and deal-closing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including proficiency in delivering presentations and pitches.
- Strong business analysis, planning, and organizational skills.
- A proven track record of achieving high-value sales targets.
- Commercial acumen and a results-oriented mindset.
- Experience engaging with senior management.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking sales activities.
- Effective time management skills and attention to detail.
