Position Overview:The Director of Capture Management is a critical leadership position tasked with spearheading strategic growth initiatives and securing significant enterprise-level pursuits (ECP). This role demands visionary leadership, strategic acumen, and the capability to steer consultative sales processes. Reporting directly to the Capture Lead for the Buildings + Places Global Business line, the focus will be on crafting and executing effective winning strategies, promoting collaboration across diverse global and regional business teams, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the pursuit lifecycle. This position offers flexibility with options for remote work and travel as necessary.This role will involve major collaborative efforts on a global scale, interacting with teams and opportunities across various regions. While global initiatives are central to this role, a significant emphasis will be placed on activities within the Americas, reflecting a greater focus on this region.Moreover, the position entails cross-business line pursuits, supporting and advancing AECOM's comprehensive suite of services, with a primary focus on the Buildings + Places business line to ensure optimal resource allocation for strategic growth and success.Key Responsibilities:Lead major pursuits as the head of the consultative sales process, integrating strategy, business development best practices, and sales leadership to devise competition-beating win strategies.Direct discovery, pre-positioning, differentiation, and delivery strategies for transformative programs with current and potential clients and internal partners.Evaluate competitive landscapes, utilizing insights from recent wins and losses to refine strategies.Encourage a collaborative approach, leveraging multidisciplinary teams globally to deliver value-driven, client-focused outcomes.Ensure synergy between technical, marketing, and bidding staff for proposal best practices.Champion the entire lifecycle of the sales process, ensuring quality assurance and adherence to Go/No-Go criteria.Work with marketing to implement strategic campaigns aligned with key opportunities.Ensure compliance with all commercial, financial, legal, and governance aspects of contracts.Drive accountability for achieving sales metrics and high capture rates.Align AECOM’s initiatives with client priorities, focusing on sustainability, resilience, and innovative solutions.Assist in building and maintaining a diverse pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives.Establish trust with client decision-makers and internal stakeholders, including Client Account Managers (CAMs), Marketing, and Bidding teams.
