This position emphasizes efficient and cost-effective communication related to work injuries, motor vehicle accidents (MVAs), liability claims, long-term disability (LTD), short-term disability (STD), and other specialized services. This is a remote, field-based position requiring regular local travel within your designated region, with travel times of up to two hours.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAdhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Case Management (CM) plan, maintaining accountability throughout the CM process.Accept and manage referrals assigned by the Director of Case Management.Initiate contacts as directed by the CM plan, schedule initial assessments, and confirm subsequent physician appointments.Verify your assignment with the referral source and clarify any special handling instructions.Cultivate professional relationships with clients and treat claimants with the utmost dignity and respect.Maintain regular communication with the Injured Worker, Insured, and Carrier post-physician appointments as per established protocols.Document data and billing through CaseAnyplace and submit timely monthly reports including Preliminary, Initial, Progress, and Closing reports.Attend physician appointments to gather relevant information regarding diagnosis, prognosis, treatment plans, rehabilitation duration, estimated return to work (RTW), and maximum medical improvement (MMI) or full recovery status.Refer clients to Vocational Counselors for job analyses when appropriate and as approved by the Carrier.Recommend independent medical exam (IME) physicians and coordinate attendance at IMEs.Arrange transportation for clients as necessary.Provide translation services when required (for bilingual nurses).Oversee the treatment plan, attend therapy sessions when needed, and stay in contact with therapists for updates.Request the transfer of files to Vocational Counselors when applicable.Assist the Carrier and Insured with RTW planning, whether modified or regular duty.Supply pertinent information to Defense Attorneys as appropriate.Foster teamwork and collaboration among all staff members.Maximize accurate and billable hours in alignment with monthly targets (8 hours/day).Ensure ongoing licensure and certification compliance.
