The Senior Business Analyst for our web division plays a pivotal role, merging leadership with hands-on execution to elevate the Business Analyst function. This position involves comprehensive requirements discovery, precise documentation, backlog management, and active stakeholder engagement, fostering alignment among Product, Engineering, UX, QA, Architecture, and Release teams.
As a key player, you will mentor consulting resources, formulate best practices, and ensure that the delivery pipeline remains efficient, free from delays caused by vague or incomplete requirements. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses technical fluency, is exceptionally organized, and excels in clear communication with business stakeholders.
Familiarity with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) and React Native mobile development environments is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
Develop and implement standards, templates, and best practices for documenting business and functional requirements, alongside effective backlog management.
Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance throughput, minimize delays, and elevate the quality of requirements across teams.
Requirements Analysis
Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and requirements-gathering sessions.
Prepare detailed documentation of business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and decision logs.
Convert high-level initiatives into succinct, technically feasible user stories.
Decompose complex features into smaller, manageable deliverables adhering to INVEST principles.
Create structured artifacts that diminish ambiguity and expedite development and QA processes.
Support traceability throughout requirements, design, testing, and deployment phases.
Backlog Ownership & Proactive Self-Management
Maintain a well-organized and prioritized backlog for multiple Scrum teams.
Independently assess which stories require refinement and approval according to project priorities.
Ensuring the BA function is not a bottleneck by anticipating future needs and gathering requirements proactively.
Lead backlog refinement sessions and proactively address any blockers.
Stakeholder Engagement
Schedule and conduct requirement meetings, refinement sessions, and alignment discussions with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with business stakeholders.
