Position Overview
AECOM is looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Leader - Project Management Consultancy (PMC) to oversee the execution of on-site projects involving transmission lines, substations (AIS/GIS), and renewable energy integration.
In this pivotal role, you will act as the Owner’s Representative on-site, driving the coordination, supervision, and management of EPC contractors to ensure that project execution adheres to approved designs, quality standards, health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements, and project timelines.
The Team Leader will lead and integrate Electrical, Civil & Structural, Instrumentation & Control, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and HSE teams, ensuring effective execution, interface management, and timely commissioning of projects.
Core Competencies
You should possess strong capabilities in managing projects from engineering validation through site execution, construction monitoring, contractor billing, testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations while fostering a zero-incident safety culture and adhering to strict quality standards. Your expertise in stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and operational discipline will be crucial in delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. On-Site Execution Leadership
- Oversee daily site operations for substations, transmission lines, and related infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings and construction methods.
- Work closely with EPC contractors to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Develop and maintain site-level look-ahead plans and monitor project progress.
2. Multi-Disciplinary Coordination
- Lead and direct site teams, including:
- Electrical Engineers (Substation, Transmission, Protection)
- Civil & Structural Engineers (foundations, GIS buildings, cable trenches, tower installations)
- I&C Engineers (SCADA, SAS, communications)
- QA/QC and HSE teams
- Facilitate effective integration across all disciplines with robust interface management.
- Address engineering and execution challenges in collaboration with design teams.
3. Contractor Oversight and Billing Management
- Supervise EPC contractor activities to ensure adherence to scope, quality, safety, and timelines.
- Review and approve:
- RA bills and measurements
- Work completion and milestone achievements
- Monitor resource allocation, material use, and site productivity.
- Identify delays and implement corrective actions as necessary.
