Join our dynamic team at MicroStrategy as an Information Security Engineer, where you will play a vital role in safeguarding our digital infrastructure. Your expertise will help us identify, monitor, and mitigate security vulnerabilities across various platforms, including applications, databases, servers, workstations, and operating systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance the detection, monitoring, and tracking of security vulnerabilities across multiple environments.
Support the security of public cloud operations within AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Configure and troubleshoot IAM policies, Security Groups, Service Control Policies, and Managed Service Identities.
Optimize SIEM performance and event data quality for improved log correlation.
Collaborate with the network team to implement and maintain network access control technologies.
Set up and configure Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools, including scripts, events, and playbooks.
Utilize your shell scripting skills and proficiency in programming languages such as Python and PowerShell.
Apply a solid understanding of REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML (Web Services) and HTTP Request Methods.
Work alongside the compliance team to implement security controls aligned with NIST, FedRAMP, HiTRUST, and ISO 27001.
Guide network and operations teams in best security practices.
Promote automation and automated monitoring functionalities within engineering teams.
Implement and support security solutions like Intrusion Detection, Log Management, Data Loss Prevention, and Vulnerability Management.
Assist in developing operational best practice procedural documentation.
Support the documentation of systems, policies, procedures, and customer deliverables.
Research and recommend new security products.
Develop project plans, timelines, and provide verbal and written status reports.
Conduct ongoing security assessments and document remediation activities.
Provide on-call support as necessary.
