In this pivotal role, you will execute intricate diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals for both inpatient and outpatient care. We are looking for a candidate who excels in advanced nuclear medicine methodologies, adheres to radiation safety protocols, and enhances the operational excellence of our department.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Conduct a comprehensive array of standard and advanced nuclear medicine procedures in line with physician directives and safety standards.
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals; collect and assess biological samples.
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging technology, ensuring strict compliance with radiation safety regulations.
- Track and document equipment performance while engaging in quality control and assurance initiatives.
- Provide safe support during anesthesia-related procedures and collaborate with other departments such as Cardiology, Radiology, and Surgery.
Leadership & Advanced Practice
- Assume a lead technologist or coordinator role as required.
- Train and guide junior technologists, students, residents, and faculty in specialized nuclear medicine techniques.
- Play a vital role in the development, execution, and refinement of clinical protocols.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives, quality assurance, and radiation safety committee meetings.
- Participate in research protocols and assist in adopting new technologies or methodologies.
