Every team member plays a significant role in shaping our technology and collaborative culture at LangChain.Role OverviewWork on-site five days a week in San Francisco, CA or New York, NYWe are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Infrastructure team, focusing on enhancing developer productivity for our LangGraph Cloud/Platform and LangSmith products. You will collaborate closely with Infra, Backend, and Frontend teams to confidently deliver across Kubernetes-based services, APIs, and UI flows. Additionally, you will help establish quality practices tailored to LLM applications, such as prompt regressions and evaluation suites.Develop and manage test strategies across APIs, services, UI, data, and infrastructure (K8s/Terraform/Helm).Create ephemeral test environments in Kubernetes for pull requests and release candidates; generate test data and execute hermetic suites.Advance quality in CI/CD (GitHub Actions): implementing parallelization, caching, deterministic seeds, flake tracking, and quality gates.Enhance test observability: provide rich failure artifacts (videos, logs, traces), Datadog dashboards, and actionable alerts.Ensure performance & reliability: establish baseline SLIs/SLOs for critical paths; conduct capacity tests and regression detection.Collaborate on incident workflows: troubleshoot issues, implement targeted regression tests, and refine runbooks/processes.
