The Deployment Engineer I (DE1) plays a crucial role in the seamless implementation of 8x8's Unified Communications services. Throughout the deployment process, the DE1 will work closely with Sales, Project Management, third-party technicians, and the customer's IT team to execute deployment projects on schedule, working both on-site and remotely from the 8x8 headquarters.Responsibilities:Deliver hands-on technical assistance to customers, resellers, vendors, and prospects of 8x8.Engage in Project Management Calls and Design Review Meetings alongside Sales, Engineering, and Project Management teams.Update and maintain the System Requirement Document.Identify design issues and coordinate with the Project Manager for resolution with the customer.Configure PBX systems, call flows, user profiles, and call management features.Conduct site surveys and validate network configurations.Ensure that the System Design Document and deployed solutions align with customer-specific requirements.During cut-over, test the system to verify proper call routing and escalate issues as needed.Assist field technicians with installation and cut-over processes.Provide both on-site and remote training to customer administrators and end users.Enhance customer success by refining deployment processes and contributing to the improvement of supporting tools and systems.Stay up-to-date with current telecommunications, UC, Contact Center, and VoIP technologies and industry trends.Document the deployment thoroughly to facilitate a smooth transition to our support teams.
