Join our dynamic team as a Financial Risk Manager in Sydney, Australia, where you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial stability and integrity of our operations across the AU/NZ (Pacific) region. Reporting directly to the country CRO, you will provide essential second-line financial risk management guidance, overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks. You will also engage in various risk initiatives across the APAC region, contributing to the development of enterprise risk frameworks and broader financial risk strategies.
Your Mission
- Support the Pacific CRO in executing the risk management strategy for the region.
- Perform regular financial risk assessments and stress testing to pinpoint and evaluate risks pertinent to the Pacific and APAC region.
- Prepare the ICAAP report for Wise Australia and supervise the creation and annual review of the local Capital Management Plan, Liquidity Management Policy, Business Plan, and Exit Plan.
- Deliver precise financial risk reports to senior management and the board, spotlighting key risk exposures, trends, and emerging risks.
- Collaborate with product teams to scrutinize the control environment related to product modifications, launches, ongoing issues, incidents, and horizon risks.
- Analyze regional market trends, product risks, regulatory changes, and other emerging risk factors to evaluate their impact on the organization’s risk profile and propose suitable mitigation strategies.
- Lead the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks and tools in the Pacific region, utilizing technology and data analytics to enhance risk monitoring and reporting.
- Work cooperatively with business units to design and implement effective financial risk mitigation strategies and controls, ensuring their effectiveness and recommending enhancements.
- Oversee the execution of remediation actions and risk management projects, collaborating with internal teams and external consultants.
