Role Overview:
As a vital member of Skydio's Supplier Quality Engineering team, you'll collaborate closely with our Product Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality teams. You'll engage with both current and potential suppliers to fortify our supplier network, ensuring we meet the growing demands of production volume and quality.
Your Contributions:
Perform comprehensive supplier assessments and on-site audits to validate their quality systems and overall capabilities.
Contribute to the Hardware Product Development Process by partnering with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to propose enhancements for manufacturing processes and quality plans, ensuring suppliers are equipped for high-volume, high-quality production.
Execute First Article Inspections and Surveillance Audits to confirm supplier compliance with our design engineering and quality standards, while maintaining a robust quality control and assurance program.
Lead quality planning efforts during pre-production and post-production phases and manage 8D / SCAR activities with our suppliers to guarantee outgoing quality minimizes incoming inspections at Skydio.
Track and maintain supplier scorecards to evaluate quality performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives, striving for zero defects within our supplier base.
