You will oversee the development of Unit features from conception to deployment, tackle complex challenges, and collaborate with diverse teams to drive innovation.This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the establishment of an industry-leading company from the ground up.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement scalable backend services that meet the demands of Unit’s expansive ecosystem.Take ownership of Unit features, managing the entire lifecycle from design through implementation and testing to deployment.Address a variety of complex challenges within a distributed microservices architecture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver groundbreaking features in Banking, Payments, Cards, and Lending.Create developer-oriented solutions with a strong focus on performance and quality.What We’re Seeking5+ years of experience in backend development within a microservices architecture.Proven track record in building, deploying, and maintaining scalable, testable systems in a cloud environment.Strong understanding of critical production system concepts such as high availability, reliability, and scalability.Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).Hands-on experience with Kubernetes is a plus.Knowledge of Scala is an advantage.A passion for Software and Functional Programming is a plus.Experience with ZIO / Cats / Scalaz is an advantage.
