We are seeking a Mechanical & Thermal Architect for Satellites (F/H) for a permanent position to strengthen our engineering teams within the SPACE & SKY division located in Toulouse.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Head of the Space Systems Competence Centre, you will be responsible for the following:
- Design & Architecture: Define the mechanical and thermal architecture of satellites, overseeing the project from initial design phases (Phase 0/A) to detailed justification (Phase B/C).
- Testing & Validation: Serve as the technical reference for mechanical AIT, preparing, leading, and validating mechanical and thermal vacuum tests to ensure satellite robustness (Phase D).
- Launch & Monitoring: Participate in in-flight operations, particularly during the LEOP phase, and thermal monitoring in collaboration with the OPS teams (Phase E).
- Optimization & Layout: Ensure optimal internal and external layout of satellites for integration.
- Coordination & Management: Supervise internal and external subcontractors in the development of key equipment (structure, MLI, heaters...) and design justification analyses.
- Client & Launcher Relations: Act as the interface with clients and authorities to guarantee satellite/launcher integration complies with all standards.
- Collaboration & Reporting: Contribute to technical reviews, meetings, and progress reports within project groups.
