About the Role ANTS (America's Next Talented Stars) is hiring part-time Youth Multi-Sport Coaches for the Fall 2026 season in Walnut Creek, California. This role supports after-school sports programs for children ages 5 to 10 at local elementary schools. No previous coaching experience is required; all coaches receive thorough training and ongoing support. What You'll Do Lead or assist weekly after-school practices in soccer, flag football, basketball, or tennis. Teach basic sports skills using fun, game-based lesson plans (training and materials provided). Arrive on time, set up equipment before each session, and clean up afterward. Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants. Attend an in-person orientation before the season starts. Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, teachers, and school staff. Transport sports equipment to and from assigned schools each week. Season Details The Fall 2026 season runs from September to December 2026. Coaches need to be available for the full season. Weekly time commitment ranges from 5 to 10 hours, depending on the number of classes assigned. Outstanding coaches may be considered for future seasons. Coaching Locations Coaching takes place at one or more ANTS partner elementary schools in Walnut Creek. Assignments are made in collaboration with each coach to find the best fit. Schedule Classes run weekly for 10 to 14 weeks. Sessions are held on the same weekday each week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 2–4 PM; Wednesday: 1–4 PM. Each class lasts about one hour. What We Look For Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from coaching sites. Access to a vehicle is helpful for equipment transport. Professionalism: Punctuality and accurate attendance tracking. Positive, respectful interactions with parents and school staff. Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with ANTS, parents, and school staff by email and phone. Enthusiasm: Coaches should bring energy and a positive attitude to every session. ANTS provides all necessary training, equipment, and support. This is a chance to build coaching experience while helping kids stay active and confident.
