Position: Nuclear Controls Engineer
Location: Wilmington, NC/Greenville, SC (Onsite)
Experience Required: 5-12 Years
Eligibility: US Citizens Only
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize your expertise in integrating NUMAC with the H31 communication platform by developing and validating comprehensive system requirements.
Define and meticulously document system requirements to facilitate communication between NUMAC and EGD systems.
Design and establish communication protocols that govern NUMAC's interactions with Plant UDH.
Engage in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including control system engineers, software developers, and plant operations, to guarantee system compatibility and optimal performance.
Qualifications / Requirements:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience with small modular reactor (SMR) control systems, such as BWRX-300.
In-depth knowledge of nuclear industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with software tools essential for system design and testing.
Proven expertise in control system communications, ideally within nuclear power plant environments.
Strong understanding of communication protocols and systems integration (e.g., DCS, SCADA, PLC communication interfaces).
Experience in developing system requirements, prototyping, and final design processes.
Desirable familiarity with NUMAC, H31 platforms, EGD systems, and Plant UDH communication architectures.
