Ideal Candidate Qualifications:6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in a medical field, directly supporting patients preferred.2+ years of customer service experience may substitute for medical experience. Proficiency in navigating smartphones and computers is required. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential. Familiarity with medical insurance/billing and knowledge of medications/diagnostic codes is advantageous. Commitment to adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality, and Compliance policies and standards. Ability to maintain administrative, physical, and technical cybersecurity protocols. A High School diploma or equivalent is required. Physical requirements include: sitting (60%), walking (20%), standing (20%), lifting up to 20 lbs.

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday 5:30 AM - 2:30 PM, with scheduling variations based on business needs.

Travel is a requirement for this role.

The Specimen Collector II plays a vital role at Millennium Health. As a representative of our organization, you will provide exceptional care and stellar customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
  • Process and prepare collections for shipment.
  • Act as a liaison between the clinic and the laboratory.
  • Document patient details, physician orders, and relevant laboratory information.
  • Address specimen issues concerning billing or patient data in the ordering portal.
  • Manage and maintain onsite collection supplies inventory.
  • Observe collections for Millennium Health specimens (as applicable).
  • Travel between facilities may be necessary, including occasional overnight coverage.
