Position Overview
As a Field Application Engineer for our Compute Platform, you will represent ai&'s PaaS compute offerings to our clients. Your responsibilities will include supporting pre-sales activities, leading technical onboarding sessions, and ensuring successful implementation and support for customers launching web applications, APIs, backend services, and various compute workloads on our infrastructure.
Our platform is designed for ease of use, enabling developers and engineering teams to deploy workloads without the hassle of managing underlying infrastructure. You will ensure that this promise is realized for every client, demonstrating both technical expertise in customer architectures and the ability to convey the platform's value to business stakeholders.
You will engage with a diverse clientele, ranging from startups launching their initial production applications to large enterprises migrating intricate workloads from platforms like Heroku or AWS Elastic Beanstalk. Your role is to simplify deployments, making them quick, reliable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Pre-Sales: Collaborate with the sales team during pre-sales activities for the compute platform. Lead technical discovery sessions, conduct platform demonstrations, respond to technical evaluation criteria, and assist clients in understanding how ai& compute aligns with their requirements.
Technical Communication: Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
