Role: Field Service Representative
Location: United States (San Diego, CA is preferred)
Salary: $75,000 base, along with travel bonuses ranging from $20,000 to $40,000 per year, plus stock options, 401k matching, and additional benefits.
Role Overview:
At Seasats, we are revolutionizing the maritime industry by deploying autonomous surface vehicles (ASVs) globally. To ensure our fleet operates with efficiency and effectiveness, we are expanding our dynamic team of full-time field operators. Our missions have already reached every continent except Antarctica.
As a Field Service Representative, you will gain hands-on experience from our seasoned experts, collaborate with both military and civilian personnel, and become an integral part of the fleet of the future. This role will involve unconventional hours, global travel, and the exhilarating challenges that come with being at the forefront of an industry transformation.
Role Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Engage in deployments lasting up to two months at Navy bases and various international sites.
- Interact with Navy, Coast Guard, and other personnel, communicating essential information back to our San Diego headquarters.
- Launch and recover ASVs as part of your daily tasks.
- Remotely monitor and control ASVs through computer or mobile devices during missions.
- Provide feedback on bugs and feature requests to the development team in San Diego to enhance operational efficiency.
- Utilize electronic devices and maps for mission planning, considering weather and other factors.
- Travel frequently to San Diego for training on new vehicle features and maintenance procedures.
- Fulfill contracting requirements, including daily status updates via platforms like Slack, email, or Signal.
- Occasionally conduct nighttime operations as required.
