Qualifications

ACCA/CIMA qualifications are preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience in a Finance Operations Business Partner role or a similar capacity is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and a methodical analytical mindset. Experience in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation, and income deferral. A proactive and inquisitive approach with a genuine interest in discovering new methods for enhancing the accuracy of financial data. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team, sharing knowledge and ideas for improvement. Dedicated and adaptable, with a solid commitment to meeting deadlines.

Join our dynamic team at Culina Group as a Finance Operations Business Partner. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the senior operational leadership, including Directors and General Managers, to deliver precise and timely financial insights that drive the financial success of multiple depots across the region.

As a Finance Operations Business Partner, you will champion change initiatives within the organization, optimize cost efficiencies, and ensure that critical deadlines are consistently met. You will also oversee the development of two Management Accountants within your team.

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the team in generating timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports, which will include assistance with renewals and new business opportunities.
  • Create key financial metrics to facilitate weekly cost commentary, presenting variance analyses to senior operations management with a focus on operational and commercial priorities.
  • Oversee the development of budgets, forecasts, and rolling forecasts for respective sites.
  • Lead financial customer management by conducting monthly reviews and preparing customer financial packs.
  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, specifically two Management Accountants, as part of a broader team of six.
  • Assist the finance team with the preparation of monthly management accounts and highlight significant variances impacting the business.
  • Explore and implement improvements for the efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Engage in various project tasks as requested by the General Manager and other internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee customer debt management and update the company cash flow forecast.
