Role Overview: Financial Editor (London)
9fin is looking for a Financial Editor to support its editorial team at a key stage of growth. This role shapes how debt market news, analysis, and research reach clients around the world.
What You Will Do
- Edit and publish timely news stories, analytical features, and in-depth research reports across topics like Asset-Based Finance, Distressed Debt, Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade, CLOs, and Private Credit, maintaining high editorial standards.
- Work closely with reporters, analysts, and legal experts to copy-edit, fact-check, and prepare complex financial content for publication. Accuracy in data, names, deal terms, and legal language is essential.
- Manage the full publication process for assigned content, from intake and editing through to final approval. Handle multiple projects and meet deadlines set by market activity.
- Apply and uphold 9fin’s editorial style across all content types, balancing consistency in tone and terminology with each author’s analytical perspective.
- Review and refine AI-generated drafts to ensure they meet the same standards as human-written pieces before publication.
- Collaborate with senior editors and team leads to update internal style guides, editing workflows, and quality standards as the team grows.
- Address challenges involving specialized financial terms, document references, and market-specific language across all asset classes covered by 9fin.
- Maintain a cohesive editorial voice throughout all published material.
