Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fire Surveyor to provide essential technical support to our Fire Engineering and Fire Surveying teams across the UK. At Jensen Hughes, we have earned the trust of our clients through our rapid response and delivery of high-quality reports. In this role, you will conduct on-site fire inspections and surveys during both construction and operational phases, including external wall surveys for new builds and refurbishments, fire stopping and compartmentation surveys, fire door inspections, and occasionally fire risk assessments. You will report directly to our Lead Surveyor and Divisional Director, contributing to the fire safety disciplines at Jensen Hughes.
Responsibilities
- Conducting external façade assessments and survey investigations to comply with industry standards, including the PAS 9980 methodology for existing buildings and the overall EWS1 process.
- Performing surveys and generating technical reports on active and passive fire protection systems.
- Assessing compliance with key British Fire Safety Legislation and standards.
