About the job
Join Plato in Revolutionizing the Legal Tech Landscape!
At Plato, we are pioneering the operating system for litigation lawyers, poised to transform the legal industry through innovative GenAI solutions. Litigation lawyers face a myriad of complex and repetitive tasks, from intricate damage calculations to reviewing extensive documentation and drafting legal materials.
Our Vision: We aim to create the premier operating system for litigation lawyers, allowing them to reduce administrative and operational workload by up to five times, enabling a focus on strategic advocacy.
Currently, Plato partners with approximately ten law firms and a major insurance legal team specializing in personal injury, leveraging our platform daily to manage hundreds of active cases.
Founded in January 2026 by Ben (CEO) and Alexandre (CTO), our venture is supported by Hexa, Europe’s premier startup studio known for launching over 35 successful companies, including notable unicorns like Front, Aircall, and Spendesk, collectively achieving over €230M in ARR and attracting more than €750M in funding.
With our solution already live and in active use, we are entering a pivotal phase of development. We are seeking a passionate individual prepared to take ownership and contribute to shaping the product, architecture, and engineering culture from the ground up.
Your Role: We are looking for a Founding Engineer to become our first hire and collaborate closely with Alexandre, Co-founder & CTO. You will play a crucial role in developing our core product, including production AI systems, backend architecture, and user-facing features that law firms and insurance companies will rely on daily.
This position is not research-focused; rather, it is about transforming cutting-edge AI into dependable, real-world software in a complex, high-stakes environment. You will influence product decisions and manage systems from initial prototypes to full production.
Your contributions will significantly impact our development trajectory and engineering practices.
