About the job
About Roadrunner
Roadrunner is building a new approach to CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software for enterprise sales teams. Our PQA stack, Prompt, Quote, Approve, aims to reflect how modern pricing actually works, not just patch up old tools. Backed by Kleiner Perkins as their first incubated company since Glean, we are led by founders with successful exits and supported by engineers from Snowflake, Databricks, Citadel, Meta, Robinhood, and Brex. We are based in San Francisco and just getting started.
Role Overview: Founding Product Marketer
This is Roadrunner’s first marketing hire. The person in this role will work side by side with the founding team to shape how the company is seen and heard in the market. The job blends hands-on content creation, strategy, and direct collaboration with sales and customers.
What You Will Do
- Turn the founders’ vision and brand narrative into clear, engaging marketing assets and stories that help define Roadrunner’s market presence.
- Own the website end to end, treating it as a product, ensuring our story is consistent and compelling throughout.
- Lead competitive intelligence: analyze competitors, identify our strengths, and build materials that help sales win deals.
- Create foundational go-to-market assets, such as sales decks, one-pagers, battlecards, architecture slides, and implementation overviews.
- Write and publish LinkedIn content for company news, product milestones, and thought leadership.
- Work closely with Sales and engage directly with customers: join calls, gather feedback, understand objections, and turn insights into stronger sales materials.
- Translate the technical details of the PQA stack and enterprise integrations into stories that resonate with both technical and business audiences.
Sample Projects
- Build Roadrunner’s competitive intelligence program from scratch: run win/loss interviews, conduct competitor analysis, and develop a suite of battlecards. Lead the rollout with a live sales enablement session and supporting resources.
- Create a library of core sales assets, pitch decks, architecture slides, implementation guides, and objection-handling materials, for use by sales reps and new hires.
