Opportunity Overview
Each project presents distinct challenges, and contributors may be involved in the following:
- Design innovative computational engineering problems that mirror real-world engineering workflows;
- Develop problems that require Python programming for engineering calculations and simulations;
- Ensure tasks are computationally intensive, demanding numerical methods or iterative solutions;
- Formulate problems centered on system design, optimization, and analysis;
- Base challenges on authentic research issues or applicable scenarios from engineering practices;
- Validate solutions using Python along with standard engineering libraries;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
Qualifications We Seek
This role is ideal for engineers proficient in Python and looking for part-time, project-based work. The preferred candidates will possess:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any programming language can be considered equivalent;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching backgrounds;
- A solid understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations;
- Strong written English skills (C1+ or equivalent);
- Professional certifications (e.g., CMME, SAS Certifications, CAP) and experience in international or applied projects are highly advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
For this opportunity, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases. Please note that this is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific workload.
Compensation
Participants can earn up to $50 per hour, depending on their expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and required skills. Please be aware that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their specific requirements.
