Role overview
This freelance contract position centers on localization quality assurance for video games. The work is carried out on-site at TransPerfect’s Tokyo office in Shinjuku-ku. Testers collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve localization issues, document bugs, and carry out regression testing to help ensure each game meets high standards before launch.
What you will do
- Test video games in Japanese to spot errors in terminology, grammar, punctuation, and linguistic style
- Write clear, detailed bug reports for issues found during testing
- Work with the team to resolve localization problems
- Perform regression testing to confirm fixes and maintain quality
- Support a range of projects, from indie games to major titles
Requirements
- Fluency in Japanese
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to spot language errors and inconsistencies
