About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English, clearly indicating your level of English proficiency.
At Mindrift, we bridge the gap between specialists and project-based AI opportunities for leading technology firms, with a focus on testing, evaluating, and enhancing AI systems. Please note that participation is project-based and does not constitute permanent employment.
What This Opportunity Entails
Each project may involve unique tasks; contributors might be expected to:
- Craft original optics problems that replicate authentic physics research workflows;
- Ensure these problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within a reasonable time (days or weeks);
- Develop problems necessitating complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Base problems on genuine research challenges or practical applications in optics and physics;
- Clearly document problem statements and provide verified correct answers.
What We Are Looking For
This opportunity is ideal for optical engineers seeking part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or related fields;
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching experience;
- Familiarity with numerical simulation methods;
- The ability to design problems that reflect real physics research workflows;
- Creative problem-solving skills across various physics disciplines;
- Knowledge of physics modeling and approximation techniques;
- Advanced written English skills (C1+).
How It Works
Application → Qualification Assessment → Project Engagement → Task Completion → Payment
Project Time Expectations
During active phases of the project, tasks are estimated to require approximately 10–20 hours per week. This is an estimated workload and is not guaranteed; it is applicable only while the project is ongoing.
Compensation
Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, based on their level and pace of contribution. Compensation varies by project depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Note that other projects on the platform may offer different compensation levels based on specific requirements.
