About the job
We invite you to submit your CV in English, including your level of English proficiency.
Mindrift is at the forefront of connecting experts with project-based AI opportunities for top-tier technology companies, dedicated to testing, evaluating, and enhancing AI systems. Note that participation is project-based and does not imply permanent employment.
Project Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be tasked with:
- Designing innovative computational physics problems that reflect authentic physics research workflows;
- Creating problems that necessitate Python programming solutions (utilizing Numpy, SciPy, Sympy);
- Ensuring that problems are computationally intensive, designed to be unsolvable manually within practical timeframes (days/weeks);
- Formulating problems that require complex reasoning in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics;
- Constructing problems based on real research questions or practical applications from physics;
- Validating solutions using Python alongside established physics simulation libraries;
- Providing clear documentation of problem statements and verified correct answers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This role is well-suited for quantum researchers proficient in Python and open to part-time, non-permanent projects. The ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field;
- Proficiency in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, or any relevant programming language is acceptable;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching roles;
- Experience with numerical simulation methodologies;
- The ability to construct problems that reflect real-world physics research scenarios;
- Creative problem-solving skills across various physics domains;
- Familiarity with physics modeling and approximation techniques;
- Strong command of written English (C1+ level).
