Hunt St seeks a Full-Stack Developer based in the Philippines to help build a mobile application aimed at improving urban travel. This is a direct engagement with the client, a growing mobility technology company, not via an outsourcing agency. The platform connects users with transportation options and explores commercial models tied to real-world outcomes.
What you will do
- Audit the current codebase and highlight areas for improvement
- Lead the backend rebuild and advise on front-end and mobile architecture
- Work with a tech stack including Java, Objective-C, Ruby, TypeScript, Python, Kotlin, Swift, and possibly Expo
- Set up systems for error monitoring, logging, and notifications
- Support deployment and post-launch performance, which may include after-hours support
- Collaborate on system design, integrations, and best practices across the stack
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, with strong backend skills
- Background in refactoring or rebuilding systems for scalability and performance
- Familiarity with both iOS and Android mobile application ecosystems
- Comfortable working with APIs, databases, and modern architectural approaches
- Knowledge of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor is a plus
- Self-driven and accountable, able to take ownership from rebuild through post-launch
Compensation and engagement
- Monthly pay: $2,000 AUD – $3,000 AUD
- Independent Contractor Agreement
- Remote work
- Work hours align with Australian business time (approx. 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday)
- Flexibility to manage your schedule as a contractor
