Job Purpose:
The General Ledger Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the General Ledger function, ensuring precision in financial reporting while adhering to accounting standards. This position will lead a dedicated GL team in executing month-end closings, conducting reconciliations, and performing thorough financial analysis to deliver timely and accurate financial statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the GL team, ensuring prompt and precise posting of transactions.
- Manage the month-end close process, verifying that all financial entries are documented, reconciled, and finalized according to established timelines.
- Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
- Ensure the integrity of financial data while complying with accounting policies and regulations.
- Assist in compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation.
- Support finance and operations teams with GL-related inquiries and challenges.
- Train, mentor, and cultivate GL staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
- Implement process enhancements to optimize the efficiency of GL functions.
- Contribute to the development of accounting policies and procedures.
