Role Overview

The Geospatial Database Administrator will join a remote team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Geospatial Management Office (GMO) programs. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining geospatial databases to ensure performance, integrity, security, and availability across enterprise systems. The administrator will work closely with application developers, geospatial analysts, and system architects to manage geodatabases, support data integration, and optimize performance. The work directly supports DHS mission operations by maintaining a reliable and scalable data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, operate, and maintain geospatial databases and storage solutions.
  • Monitor database performance, capacity, and availability to ensure systems run smoothly.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve database-related issues.
