Basic Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. Preferred Skills and Experience:A Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline. Strong foundational knowledge of fluid and structural design and analysis principles. Innovative thinking with the ability to design cost-effective, reliable, and maintainable solutions from the ground up. Experience in high-stakes environments where quick decision-making and problem-solving are crucial. Ability to meet challenges posed by tight deadlines effectively. Capability to work under high stress and maintain focus during extended hours. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to foresee interactions with other systems to prevent issues. Intermediate proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Competency in CAD software is preferred.

As a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Engineer, you will thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, leveraging various engineering disciplines such as fluid dynamics and structural analysis to create innovative test stands and equipment for propulsion and structural component testing. Your key responsibilities will encompass:

  • Engineering, designing, analyzing, and selecting materials/components for test stands, tooling, and necessary infrastructure, followed by procurement and construction.
  • Leading and supporting technicians throughout the construction, activation, and maintenance phases of stands and equipment.
  • Facilitating testing campaigns by monitoring data, ensuring system integrity, and adapting equipment or procedures as needed.
  • Innovating processes to enhance reliability and efficiency across testing operations.
  • Undertaking additional tasks to ensure optimal testing performance.
  • Engaging in hands-on work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain, and occasionally working in confined spaces or at heights.
