Role overview
The Ground Test Design Engineer position is based in Lansing, Michigan. This role centers on designing, manufacturing, and maintaining test equipment used for engine development and aftermarket programs. The Ground Test Division supports all three major engine manufacturers, handling specialized engineering needs in this area.
Main responsibilities
- Support design activities throughout the entire product lifecycle of assemblies, including:
- Breaking down customer requirements
- Preparing quotes
- Developing designs
- Securing customer approval
- Overseeing manufacturing
- Developing repairs and providing servicing
- Create final assemblies, subcomponents, and auxiliary equipment for storage and handling needs.
- Evaluate damage from routine operations and develop repairs to restore assemblies or components to original or acceptable standards.
