Role Overview
In the capacity of a Heat Pump Sales Engineer, you will assist homeowners in identifying the ideal heat pump systems that cater to their specific requirements, placing customer satisfaction at the forefront of your efforts. You will build a solid understanding of heat pump technology, ductwork, and general construction principles, while consistently providing exceptional service through phone, email, and in-person consultations. This position offers practical, hands-on experience by collaborating closely with our installation teams on real-world projects. This role is a unique fusion of technical knowledge and a strong customer service focus, ensuring that every client experiences a smooth, informed, and high-quality journey from beginning to end.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage a robust project pipeline for residential heat pump installations.
Oversee the entire sales cycle, including client outreach, needs assessment, proposal creation, deal closure, and after-sales follow-up to guarantee customer satisfaction.
Perform thorough system evaluations, estimating suitable equipment based on heating and cooling demands, electrical panel compatibility, space limitations, and installation specifications.
Craft and deliver precise, high-quality proposals that meet custom requirements and address complex scenarios.
Contribute to strategic initiatives such as market analysis, policy advocacy, and go-to-market strategies focused on heat pump and home energy technologies.
What You Will Bring
3-5 years of experience in sales and/or engineering roles.
Demonstrated experience in sales, business development, or technical advisory roles within the HVAC, building services, or renewable energy sectors.
A strong desire to learn about heat pump systems and their applications.
Excellent customer relationship management skills.
Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating potential options for clients.
Outstanding communication abilities, both verbal and written.
