About the Position:

Location: Based in Eyemouth with occasional travel requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Asset Operations Technical Service & Delivery (TS&D) team. In this pivotal role, you will provide specialized Electrical Operation and Maintenance Engineering services.

Your responsibilities will include delivering in-field engineering support for both High Voltage and Low Voltage equipment, assisting Area Managers, Technicians, and contractors. You will collaborate with Asset Operations, the Central Technical Authority, and contract partners to ensure maintenance scopes are executed effectively, with thorough reporting throughout.

Your primary focus will be on a diverse portfolio of offshore wind assets, particularly the NNG Windfarm in Eyemouth, with potential travel to other offshore sites across the UK and Ireland as required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example to uphold the highest standards in compliance with HSEQ requirements.
  • Provide expert 'in-field' Electrical engineering support across all offshore assets.
  • Assist Asset Operation teams with planned preventative maintenance and respond to emergent fault conditions on the EBoP and associated generation equipment.
  • Review and create work scopes, work instructions, and quality plans.
  • Encourage a questioning mindset, challenging existing processes to explore new methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, set operational standards, and develop cases for asset performance enhancement.
  • Identify innovative solutions, leveraging advancements in technology to upgrade existing assets and ensure future readiness.
  • Address technical queries from team members, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Oversee the Asset Change Management process to ensure modifications and repairs are accurately documented.
  • Review and update site documentation against existing electrical drawings and test data.
  • Identify and categorize risks, ensuring they are added to the appropriate risk register with correct RAG status.
