Core Purpose of the Role

As a vital member of the Learning and Development (L&D) team, the L&D Advisor will play an essential role in shaping and implementing a transformative learning agenda that aligns with the organization’s strategic objectives. This position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders across CIFF and is integral to the wider HR function, ensuring the successful management and delivery of the evolving core L&D programs.

Key Responsibilities

Facilitating Self-Directed Learning and Knowledge Management at CIFF

  • Collaborate with the team to enhance and execute CIFF's Digital Learning Strategy, focusing on the learning management system (LMS).
  • Serve as the system administrator, overseeing user management, workflows, and system functionality, while coordinating with the People Operations team for HRIS integration.
  • Contribute to the design of tailored learning pathways for employees on diverse topics and oversee their implementation in the LMS.
  • Develop and curate shared resources for employee access, including corporate subscriptions, recommended readings, and CIFF learning initiatives.
  • Engage with internal subject matter experts to ensure CIFF-specific training content is current, engaging, and relevant.
  • Manage and optimize CIFF’s corporate subscriptions to enhance learning opportunities and ensure value for investment.

Coordination of Learning Operations and Communications

  • Establish and maintain the CIFF L&D events calendar, ensuring timely scheduling of key DEI events in consideration of other organizational activities.
  • Act as the operational lead for L&D communications, ensuring consistency and alignment with the L&D events calendar.
  • Provide comprehensive logistical support for learning events, including course setup in the LMS, organizing virtual and in-person sessions, managing enrollments, and distributing joining instructions.
  • Lead the organization-wide implementation of coaching skills, creating a comprehensive learning journey for each employee to foster continuous development and integration into the culture.
  • Ensure high-quality supporting materials are available to learners, consistent with other HR materials, and delivered promptly.
  • Maintain administrative records related to external providers, managing invoices and ensuring current terms of business are retained.

Advising Colleagues Across the Organization

  • Act as the primary contact for all L&D inquiries across the organization, providing expert advice and guidance.
