Guidepoint’s Business Development team in Tokyo focuses on building and maintaining relationships with both new and existing clients. The team supports all Guidepoint service lines, helping clients stay informed and make smart business decisions. Inside Sales Associates play a key part in expanding our reach among major corporations in the region. This position suits someone who is self-driven and interested in the institutional investment sector, with the chance to make a direct impact on our business.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to qualify leads and identify new business opportunities.
  • Work with senior sales colleagues to set up meetings with new prospects and coordinate discussions with existing strategic accounts to find growth and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Manage client feedback calls and help achieve prospecting and meeting targets through cold calling and other lead generation efforts.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials and client presentations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of primary research methods, the competitive landscape, and processes within the institutional investment industry.

Requirements

  • Fluency in both Japanese and English.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Understanding of the sales process, from lead generation through to relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging high-profile corporate clients.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team setting.
