University degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistered (or eligible) member of Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC) or another recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada; P. Eng preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in heavy industryThorough understanding of industrial production issuesWillingness to occasionally work outside of the officePreferred Technical SkillsProficiency in 2D drafting using AutoCADExperience with instrumentation and field wiring of control systemsAbility to perform calculations for cable pulls, heat trace, voltage drop, and cable sizingExpertise in heat trace and cable tray designControl panel design skillsPower system modeling including load flow, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, and arc flash studiesGrounding studies and design capabilitiesExperience with protection relay and VFD parameter settingsKnowledge of power distribution equipment and systems

The Intermediate Industrial Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of multidisciplinary projects and electrical studies. We are looking for a proactive individual who thrives in independent work while also fostering business relationships within the local industrial sector. Occasional travel to industrial sites across Western Canada may be necessary. This role is available in our offices located in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, or Saskatoon.
