Your Mission
As the Inventory Administrator, you will be a key player in our daily operations, ensuring that our production and warehouse teams have the necessary resources to deliver fresh and nutritious meals to dogs across the UK. This hands-on role involves close collaboration with production, warehouse, and data teams to maintain inventory accuracy, coordinate with suppliers, and streamline our operational processes.
Your responsibilities will include tracking stock movements, managing incoming goods, generating production picks, and maintaining precise records across our systems. You will also step in to cover additional responsibilities as needed, solidifying your role as a vital component of our operational resilience.
Reporting to the Inventory Manager, you will work daily with production, purchasing, inventory management, and data science teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in keeping everything organized and on track.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Record and track all deliveries from freezers to production.
- Generate daily ingredient picks for production, including meals, work-in-progress items, and toppers.
- Complete daily Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) documentation and Operations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct morning checks on meat for temperature and quantity.
- Manage goods-in processes: receive, check, count, and record all Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) against purchase orders.
- Accurately update inventory and Warehouse Management System (WMS) with all received items.
- Label, store, and organize stock in designated locations.
- Prepare and process delivery notes and associated paperwork.
- Coordinate with offsite storage facilities for collections and call-offs.
- Monitor stock levels held at offsite locations.
Weekly Tasks
- Create and fulfill sales orders for packaging supplies, including boxes, dividers, paper, and stretch wrap.
- Process stock requests from various departments.
- Compile and submit weekly waste reports.
- Conduct main SKU stock counts.
- Call off trays and boxes directly from suppliers.
- Fulfill sales orders generated by the Data team.
