Professional Experience: 2–5 years of experience in IT Service Management or a related role, showcasing a solid foundation in infrastructure and support. Advanced Technical Stack: Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft environments (Windows, AD, Hyper-V), AWS cloud infrastructure, and the Google Workspace suite. Network Expertise: In-depth knowledge of network infrastructure, including VPN and firewall setup and maintenance. Senior Technical Leadership: Proven ability to manage complex projects independently, with the foresight to identify and resolve issues proactively. Global Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate and educate others on concepts, processes, and tools effectively.

The Boundary is on the lookout for a dynamic IT Service Lead to enhance our global IT Enterprise team. Located in our Auckland studio at Freemans Bay, this role offers an exciting opportunity to work within an international framework, reporting directly to the IT Director based in the UK.

As the primary technical lead for the APAC region, you will ensure our infrastructure remains robust, scalable, and aligned with our global standards. This permanent position is tailored for a proactive problem-solver capable of bridging local operations with global strategies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Regional Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of network and server infrastructure for the region, collaborating with your UK counterparts.
  • Hardware & Software Lifecycle: Manage procurement, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of all end-user hardware and software applications.
  • Global Service Delivery: Deliver exceptional technical support to the regional team, ensuring streamlined incident and request management processes for seamless business continuity.
  • Vendor Management: Cultivate relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring favorable terms and strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Strategic Planning: Partner with the IT Director and management to implement long-term IT strategies and propose initiatives that enhance our infrastructure.
  • Security & Compliance: Assist in executing IT security policies, addressing vulnerabilities, and conducting regular audits to safeguard against evolving external threats.
  • Documentation & Training: Promote a culture of self-help by developing comprehensive system documentation and delivering training programs for the local team.
  • Budget Oversight: Manage the local department’s budget, optimizing expenses and providing regular performance reports to senior management.
