Join our dynamic Building Engineering division as a Construction Safety Specialist, focusing on a range of construction and civil projects in the Greater Capital Region. Our dedicated LaBella safety team is committed to delivering exceptional safety management services and training tailored to clients across various industries. This part-time role will report to the Senior Safety & Health Manager located in Latham, NY.
The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with our clients' management teams, safety personnel, and labor forces to ensure strict adherence to on-site safety regulations.
THIS IS A PART-TIME OPPORTUNITY!
Key Responsibilities:
Review and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Conduct daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce safety practices.
Prepare weekly and monthly reports on corrective actions.
Perform Risk Assessments and Job Hazard Analyses.
Engage with management and labor to identify and rectify unsafe practices or conditions.
Participate in safety and management meetings.
Supervise construction activities including excavation, steel erection, electrical work, elevated work (fall protection), and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
