Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with clients to design projects, outlining project scope, diagnosing issues, and presenting solutions.Generate Protection and Control drawings and documentation, including relay one-lines, three-lines, AC/DC schematics, I/O lists, relay settings, configuration files, and more.Evaluate the interoperability, control features, and communication/protocol aspects of protective relays, RTUs, LTC Controllers, and related equipment. Conduct power system load flow studies, fault studies, and relay setting coordination.Assist in system commissioning as required, ensuring successful startups and functional checks.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.A minimum of 5 years of experience in protection and control system design, cost estimation, and bidding document preparation for electrical transmission and distribution substations.Professional Engineer (PE) license from a US State is preferred but not mandatory.Proven success in designing Protection and Control Systems.Familiarity with IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards essential for substation design.Experience in telecommunications, protective relaying, and automation (SCADA) is required.Interest in low voltage coordination and arc flash studies is a plus.
