As we expand our operations, we are actively seeking talented Test Engineers who are passionate about ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of our platforms and applications.
Your Role
As a Test Engineer with Hamiltonian Dynamics, you will be integral to our mission of upholding the highest standards of software quality and reliability. You will collaborate closely with software and platform engineers throughout the entire development lifecycle, shaping testing methodologies and embedding quality at every delivery stage.
We invite candidates from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of experience; strong testing fundamentals, an inquisitive nature, and a pragmatic approach are far more valuable than familiarity with every tool.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute both manual and automated tests across intricate systems.
- Develop and maintain robust test frameworks and automation suites.
- Conduct exploratory testing to uncover risks and edge cases.
- Collaborate with engineers to enhance testability and overall quality.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of testing practices and tooling.
Required Skills & Experience
We are looking for individuals with experience in one or more of the following areas, along with a willingness to learn:
- Programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Testing web applications developed with Angular, React, or Vue.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools like Robot Framework, Cypress, or Cucumber.
- Experience in creating or extending test frameworks.
- Knowledge of exploratory and risk-based testing techniques.
- Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (such as AWS and/or Azure).
- Exposure to modern technology stacks such as MERN, Elasticsearch, or Neo4J.
Security & Location Requirements
- Must be a UK citizen with a minimum of 10 years of residency in the UK.
- Possession of a high-level UK security clearance is mandatory.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites in Cheltenham.
