About the job
Infleqtion is a cutting-edge global quantum technology company dedicated to addressing the world's most pressing challenges. Leveraging the principles of quantum mechanics, we design and integrate advanced quantum computers, sensors, and networks. From foundational physics to innovative commercial products, Infleqtion aims to enable a future of 'quantum everywhere' through our diverse ecosystem of devices and platforms. Our objective is to commercialize atom-based quantum solutions that offer transformative enhancements in performance and computing capabilities.
Location:
Located in the USA, United Kingdom, and Australia, this full-time position is based in our Kidlington, Oxford office and at the National Quantum Computing Centre in Harwell. We offer the flexibility to work from home up to two days per week, depending on business requirements and managerial approval.
About the Role:
We are seeking a UK-based Senior Manager for Corporate Communications to elevate our visibility and enhance our reputation within the UK market. This hands-on position will focus on crafting effective messaging and narratives, engaging with the UK media (in collaboration with our PR agency), and organizing high-quality events that foster relationships across customers, partners, and the wider UK quantum ecosystem. You will work closely with global stakeholders to ensure the UK narrative aligns with our overarching company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Messaging and Narrative (Core):
- Develop and manage UK-specific messaging: adapt the corporate narrative for local audiences while maintaining global messaging consistency.
- Create and update UK communication assets (factsheets, FAQs, briefing materials, stakeholder talking points) that simplify complex topics into clear and compelling stories.
- Identify key proof points and story angles that resonate with the UK market (including capabilities, ecosystem impact, applications, and partnerships).
Media and External Visibility (Agency-Led Support):
- Collaborate with our PR agency to implement the UK media strategy—providing angles, proof points, access to spokespeople, and rapid materials that enhance pitching success.
- Support agency efforts primarily through strong facilitation, while also engaging in direct pitching for priority opportunities and relationships.
- Oversee UK inbound media activities: coordinate interviews, prepare spokespeople, and assist with rapid responses during breaking news.
- Draft and edit press releases, statements, Q&As, briefing documents, and social media content; review agency drafts for quality assurance and message consistency.
Events and Ecosystem Engagement:
- Plan and execute UK events from start to finish—roundtables, partner briefings, conference activations, milestone celebrations, and site visits.
- Manage the event run-of-show, including speaker preparation, vendor coordination, budget oversight, and on-the-day execution.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders across the UK ecosystem (partners, research centres, industry groups, etc.).
