Position Overview
We are excited to announce an opening for a Survey Crew Chief at our Buffalo, NY location. At LaBella, we value teamwork and are dedicated to delivering exceptional client service. In this role, you will lead survey assignments related to topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, construction staking, and advanced technologies such as terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone operations. You will work closely with Licensed Professional Surveyors to support various civil engineering, architectural, and environmental projects.
This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to engage in a wide range of surveying tasks while contributing to impactful projects. You will perform both field and office duties, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ASCM land title surveys, and more, with the potential to pursue your Professional Surveying License.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage effectively with project teams and clients to comprehend project objectives, challenges, timelines, budgets, and expectations.
- Adhere to established safety protocols in land surveying.
- Foster strong client relationships.
- Utilize cutting-edge survey technology, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAV, high-definition scanners, and data collection devices.
- Lead the field team to meet client and project goals.
- Supervise, mentor, and train junior field staff.
