Qualifications

Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.1-3 years of experience in content development, particularly in technical writing. Intermediate knowledge of programming concepts. Familiarity with K-12 educational practices and child psychology. Exceptional writing and formatting skills for educational content. Proficient with content creation tools such as Google Docs, Word, Google Slides, or PowerPoint; experience with Notion is a plus. Understanding of curriculum mapping and learning outcomes. Basic research and fact-checking skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of instructional design principles. Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively and accept constructive feedback. Strong time-management and communication skills. Creative approach to lesson design and storytelling. Technical Skills:Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+). Experience with Responsive Design (Flexbox, Grid, Media Queries). Familiarity with Bootstrap framework. Understanding of DOM, Events, and Web Storage. Experience with Node.js & Express.js. Ability to build RESTful APIs. Knowledge of Middleware & routing. Familiarity with MongoDB & Mongoose. Proficient in error handling & async programming.

About the job

iSchool is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Content Developer to help shape coding education for K-12 students. This role centers on building engaging and interactive educational materials for the iSchool online platform. Collaboration with experienced team members is a key part of the work, as is supporting a range of iSchool programs such as Camps and School Collaborations.

What you will do

  • Design and produce interactive coding content tailored for young learners.
  • Develop course outlines and lesson plans that span different programming skill levels.
  • Create lessons, projects, presentations, and assessments that fit curriculum goals.
  • Work with instructors to ensure all materials are accurate and reflect current best practices in coding education.
